I have had over 1,500 comments to this site from people who have visited during the past month. Of these 362 were obvious spam and trash messages that I have deleted but of the rest probably in excess of 98% were from automated sources and were complete nonsense.

Having to read all the stupid false messages is really annoying but needs to be done to pick out any genuine postings.

How do we defeat this obnoxious scourge?
